It's REALLY happening!

Well it's official.....

My flight is booked!!!!

I am flying to San Jose on February 22nd, spending 9 days with my Habitat for Humanity crew in Biolley, and then have 3 extra days booked to explore gorgeous Costa Rica! 

As of today our trip is exactly one month away :) I can't quite believe it, as I truly started planning and scheming almost 5 months ago. In just a few short weeks I will be in the air headed toward my first legitimate journey abroad (I don't think a 5 star resort with my ex's family in Playa counts as much of a cultural experience, haha). 

I am so unbelievably excited to kick off what I'm hoping to be a rich and exciting life of exploration! Thank you again (and again, and again) to everyone who has supported me and enabled me to come this far.

Welcome to my travel blog, yippie!!!

I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to create a 'travel blog' after years of dreaming about adventures abroad! :)

My first (of hopefully many) global excursions will be to Biolley, Costa Rica with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity (http://www.tchabitat.org/) next month (February 2014).

During this 9 day Global Village Trip (http://www.habitat.org/gv), myself and a team of fabulous Habitat-ers will be building critical homes in the mountainous southeastern region of the country.
